AS OF Mar 2024, WE HAVE TWO OPEN POSITIONS FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS WHO CAN WORK ON PARALLEL/CLOUD COMPUTING (FOCUSING ON HPC I/O, MPI PROGRAMMING, K8S, ETC.) OR PROGRAMMABLE NETWORKS (OPENRAN, P4, ETC.)—EXPLOITING MACHINE LEARNING TECHNIQUES. WE ARE ALSO HIRING A POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER. THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE IN MPI OR SYSTEM PROGRAMMING (E.G., FILE SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT) ARE PREFERRED. IF INTERESTED, PLEASE CONTACT THE PROFESSOR DIRECTLY.

High-Performance Computing in Big Facilities
  • Optimizing scientific workflows and network transfer job scheduling in R&E networks such as ESnet/Internet2/KREONET.
  • Optimizing system components holistically for high-speed data transfer.
  • Parallel job scheduling especially focusing on time-critical jobs combined with bach jobs.
Cloud Computing for Big Data
  • Container-based Hyper-Converged Infrastructure.
  • Dynamic resource provisioning for streaming data.
  • Flexbile and fast storage management system for SSD/NVRM.
IoT Data Analytics
  • Time-series data prediction using Deep Learning.
  • Light-weight Deep Learning for edge computing/devices.
  • Flexible IoT datapath management using SDN.
